Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Monique, hindi na ako makapag pigil! Bahala ka na lang dyan... Basta ako, mag blo-blog ako!

What else's needed to be said? We won the quizbee. The most unexpected thing to have happened yesterday. But thank God. All the things I have sacrificed are all worth it.

I won't go into detail anymore. *grins weakly*

I dont care if the other presentations are lame and lousy. At least I did my part.

*****

Can you believe that in nearly a month it will be summer again? *shakes head* It's too fast for my liking. I did wanted it to end. The school works...the assignments. But I didnt want softball to end. Softball will never be the same again, i think, after the seniors will have gone to college. Even though Ive been 'acquainted' with a few, I'll still miss them!

Especially the intramurals. That was the most memorable ever. Those days of freedom and excitement. How i wish that ateneo thing will still go on as planned.

*****

I wonder what will be done now after Acad. week is over. House meetings wont be able to serve it's purpose. Those house meetings were meant for the Acad Week. But now its over.. Oh I hope I'll be able to live through a little more of house meetings.

House meetings... Begone!

Go away!

Don't come back ever!

*****

The Rape of Nanking... I can't believe something like that was done! Knowing about the Holocaust was bad enought... but adding something more?! I guess the Holocaust was so so much devastating... Can you imagine several million have been killed?! But if you look at this point of view... You'll find the rape of nanking much worse that the Holocaust.

The germans were much more systematic than the Japanese. Hitler had everything planned really well. You could say that the Holocaust was more...erm...cleaner than the Rape... The Jews were forced into slave labor...then put into gas chambers after...

While in China, babies were thrown in the air and their bodies met machetes. Thousands of civilians had been butchered, mutilated, beheaded, burned, and burried alive. Women...God... so much worse...

*shakes head*

wahhhhhhhh meron ka nung libro *floods house with tears of excitement and envy* pahiram pelis TT *kneels down*

Well those damn Japanese [those who did injustice to us and to many more asian countries] did many horrible things during WW2. Babies were actually tossed and speared even here in the Phils back then and women were "hand picked" like fishes in the market: the Jap soldier would just shout "Aburarat" [or something] and the women were forced to open their legs, then the Japs would choose the best looking Va**n*s TT Cruel, those times were CRUEL.

And even up to now we are violated. and even up to now the injustice continues to wrench the Earth with its filthy stench...the stench humanity caused and has to endure and suffer for. Humans could just be so damn filthy.
