Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

i hope you wont mind me here.. i just want to rant...vent my irritation...whatever term i may use, im sure you know and understand what that means... right? yes. and this is a blog, yes? an online journal or you may even call this a modern diary...whatever you call this thing...these are my thoughts typed on your monitor...mine alone... i dont care if im complaining about someone...yes, its about someone... which few of my readers know about... im already warning you... this is what we can say... a different issue this time... something related to religion...specifically Christianity...

want to turn back now? go ahead and just skip this entry... this is what i think... and i am sure that this is a delicate issue... a lot have different opinions on this matter...and right now... mine is what that matters now... not yours....not theirs...

mine.

anyway, enough of that speech. as you all know...today is a sunday...a day of worship.. and i just came home from celebrating the mass... and you can say that im not thrilled at what i heard during the mass. a different homily...damn it! its not even a homily! isnt it that homilies are supposed to be related to the gospel? yes? i think so... yes.. yes.. i was expecting that Pope John Paul II will be one of the topics in the homily... as we all know about his recent death...but no. not even a thing about the gospel was said... i dont know why...but im damn irritated at what the bloody priest said! [God, forgive me at that...] even my mom noticed my reactions throughout the homily.. i was never fond of this said priest even before... today... he just gave me another reason to hate him even more...

what the heck did he mention, you ask? here is a list of what he said... not exactly what he said and it is not in order...and of course, my reaction towards him...some of you, i know, are now shaking your heads and sighing at my shallow irritation, you say?...well you can go to hell for all i care! this is my blog and it is your choice in reading so...

still reading? good.

1.) "you know what im thankful for? the Pope was able to bury...to hide the 'bad' image of the priests in different parts of the world... because of his death we were seen in a different light..."
Reaction: okay... so you're now using the Pope's death as an escape of some sort from these scandals the priests in different parts of the world has done and is currently doing?! why the heck cant you admit that no priest is damn perfect?! why is it that you have to blame the priests outside the country for this bad image the people have on priests? isnt it that priests here in this damn country has also this inclination to sin? cant you bloody see that?! you make it appear that its their bloody fault for your bad reputation!

2.)"why is it that people always see sex?! why is it always the joining of the egg cell and the sperm cell?! cant you see that sex is not for pleasure but its part of a person's spirituality? its for pro creation! man should see himself as a procreator!"
Reaction: okay... you're right in a way that the people always see sex...it is part of our culture, isnt it?! but the way you said it...damn... i wanted to laugh at you out loud for what you said! isnt it that the fertilization.. meaning the joining of the egg cell and the sperm cell is actually the process of procreation?! damn it! and i thought people here are smart! i cant believe someone is actually dense to that level...

3.)"why are people currently so materialistic?! they always see the reality! why cant they see and appreciate spirituality?! love, hope, family, friendship... they always rely on reality! why cant they see that spirituality is part of reality?!"
Reaction: oh how i wanted to laugh at you again... reality...being what is happening, isnt that it? reality? without any biases...opinions? that is reality! reality is something that is happening...existing! not something physical! let me rephrase that... reality does not only cover the physical things you mentioned...you should have at least consulted the dictionary right? i'll give you an example... reality is something like the scandals you priests are accused of...right? i think so... spirituality...what is actually spirituality? its something opposed to material things...correct? okay... i guess you got that correct... but i think values is the correct term...right? of course... why point the obvious to us smarter beings? really...

4.)"the next pope should not look at europe as europe only!! he should look at europe as a whole!"
Reaction: isnt that what you just said? europe...as a whole? now really...and you call yourself a priest? you should at least think over what you are planning on saying next time you say a homily...

5.)"why do catholics always notice the seeeex commandment?! have they forgotten that their are other 8 commandments? the 10 commandments are not about the seeeex commandment only!"
Reaction: you are definitely a funny priest...i dont deny that... you make the most simple sentence into comedy...and you forgot the math also...

6.)"the pope doesnt need to worry about contraceptives and family planning! the next pope should be able to fix the problems with other religions in different countries! the great religion of india...hinduism...the religion in europe...atheism... the religions in asia... buddhism... confucianism... in latin america... which are born again... and of course the greatest competion of christianity... islam in africa! he should concentrate on that! and we priests should be the ones to worry about these condom problems!"
Reaction: it seemed like you were a little against these other religions. you should have left them out of the picture! they didnt do anything to us catholics, did they? of course, each and every religion felt that's its their mission to convert others into believing what they believe in... isnt that what we are doing? spreading the good news and things like that? but why drag them into the picture? why not leave them alone? i mean.. youre starting to be like the preachers of iglesia ni kristo [spelling? inglesia ba? diba iglesia?]...they always say that they are the only ones that will be saved during the judgement day! how dense can one get?! at least i can say that were not like that right? i mean...i have nothing against iglesia ni kristo... but i guess their overdoing it...anyway... of course...its your problem isnt it? i cant help but to laugh again...really... and you accused us that we always see the seex commandment...*shakes head*

i know... most of my ranting are shallow... i dont deny that fact... but you see my point? it seemed like this certain priest...is what we can say narrow minded... i know...maybe its me, too... but why cant people leave other religions alone? why keep on arguing with each other...? keeping on claiming that their religion is the ONE that will save them... if you look at it... they are actually similar...arent they? most acknowledge that there is a God...but we have different names for Him... so whats the difference? and of course... its their religion because of their culture and beliefs... its part of their lives already! not all religions are compatible with other people...right? yes... i think so...

ending my rants...

i have a headache going on... since i had little sleep last night due to finishing The Guardian... see? i cant put the book down! its actually something new... not that i havent read other suspense novels before...but its so...real... hehe...reality ba? ;p i can actually relate to what the main characters are feeling...yep... its scary to be stalked... not pranks... but real stalking is scary...
